With so many different canister vacuums on the market, we felt it was necessary to talk about BISSELL canister vacuum cleaners a bit more in detail and highlight why they make a great option.
Vacuum cleaners need to tick quite a few boxes before being considered superior in their field:
- Superior suction power
- Long reach
- Pet hair and dander removal
- Easy to maneaouvre
- Easy to clean
- Parts need to be readily available
BISSELL Hard Floor Expert Deluxe
This guy, as you may have guessed, is specifically designed for cleaning hard flooring surfaces. It is still usable on carpets, upholstery and curtains, however, deep carpets should be treated with a different machine.
Pros and cons:
Really effective on hardwood floors, it has a 98% pickup rate. Transitioning to carpets is a bit of a let down as you would need to go over areas a few times. Lightweight and easy to move from space to space, the length of the cord is a little bit of a let down. This little number is, however, a firm favourite of the team despite the carpet lag, but that’s not why you bought it. There is no mention of pet hair removal or allergy, which brings this cleaner a notch down.
BISSELL PowerForce Compact Pet
The compact version of the pet vacuum cleaner, it still boasts a 2L dirt container. specifically designed to handle pet hair and dander, this already gives it a well-deserved brownie point.
Pros and cons:
Even though it’s a compact version, it doesn’t miss out on any great features. With many of its customers happy with the performance, they feel BISSELL can do something about the noise level. It features an auto cord rewind system which is great in preventing tripping and tangled cords. Even though they are easy to reach, you still need to adjust brushes on this model when transitioning between the different floors. Light enough to carry up and down stairs and easy to store makes this a great buy.
BISSELL All-Rounder Deep Cleaner
We’ve cheated a little bit with this one by grabbing a hybrid model. This deep cleaner is great to use between professional carpet cleans and will go a long way extending the life of your carpets.
Pros and cons:
Before you run into the nearest supermarket and think this is the one for you, be mindful of the fact that this is a deep cleaner first and a vacuum cleaner second. Pairing this up with another vacuum is a great idea, but it could work out a bit expensive. This machine is designed for those who require their carpets to be deep cleaned on a regular basis. Ease of use, the steam function and also the sheer weight will have you regretting this purchase if daily use were your intention. A remarkable machine that delivers excellent results, the recommended usage is only a couple of times a month.
Buying a vacuum cleaner may seem easier than buying a horse, however, carefully looking at the specifications will tell you whether you’re onto the right product. Price should not be the only consideration.
